On the back of last week’s Android 5.0 Lollipop unveiling, latest reports have suggested the HTC One M8 will be updated to Google’s new OS in the coming weeks.
With Motorola and Sony having already confirmed update plans for their leading handsets, including the Moto G and the Xperia Z3, insiders have now outlined HTC’s Android 5.0 update plans.
According to anonymous tipsters, both the HTC One M8, and last year’s HTC One will be on the receiving end of the Lollipop patch sometime in late November or early December.
This timeframe fits with promises made by HTC back in June that the M8 would be updated to Android 5.0 within just 90 days of the software’s launch.
As well as looking to bestow its flagship phones with the new software, tipsters have revealed HTC’s broader update plans.
It has been suggested that the recently unveiled HTC Desire Eye will be licking Google’s Lollipop between January and March alongside the HTC Butterfly 2.
Further down the line the HTC One Mini 2, Desire 816 and One Max are all set to be handed the KitKat follow-on post March.
