Claimed Samsung Galaxy S5 benchmark
A range of claimed Samsung Galaxy S5 specs have been teased once again, with a leaked AnTuTu benchmark offering a reported insight into the upcoming phone.
A benchmark test on the Samsung SM-G900F, widely believed to be the official product name of the international Samsung Galaxy S5 variant, the latest leaks have hinted that the Samsung Galaxy S4 could retain its 1080p Full HD display, despite many reports the flagship phone would make the jump to a 2K panel.
While we must stress that these reports should be taken with a considerable pinch of salt, if accurate, the retention of a Full HD panel would be somewhat disappointing and take away one of the S5’s most tantalising rumoured features.
Elsewhere, the 64bit processor previously teased by Samsung spokespeople could also miss touching down on the S5, with the benchmarks suggesting a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor has been given the nod for the flagship phone.
Aside from the lack of a 2K display and new Snapdragon CPU, the latest Samsung Galaxy S5 specs leak is a pretty familiar affair, backing up recent claims of another high-end Android powerhouse.
With Google’s latest Android 4.4 KitKat OS tipped to run the show, the leaked benchmark has claimed the Samsung Galaxy S5 will play host to 3GB of RAM, an Adreno 330 GPU and a 16-megapixel rear-mounted camera.
While a 2-megapixel secondary snapper is tipped to sit up front, the Samsung Galaxy S5 specs sheet will reportedly be rounded off by 32GB of internal storage.
Although not covered by the leaked benchmarks, earlier this week further Samsung Galaxy S5 rumours suggested that the handset will sport a scratch-resistant diamond metal body. The phone is widely expected to make its first official appearance during Q1 2014.
