The Huawei Ascend G510, an entry-level handset with large 4.5-inch screen, will be available from tomorrow from Vodafone UK.
Packing a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 4.5-inch TFT LCD display, the Huawei looks to be a great affordable Android handset.
“Huawei is bringing new hardware and software innovation to this market; and not just to the high-end,” said James Powell, Huawei Device UK Director of Product Management. “For years, ‘entry-level’ smartphones have meant compromise – phones not powerful enough, with screens not big enough, to be able to truly deliver on the promise of the mobile internet.”
“The Ascend G510 is the latest in a line of Huawei smartphones to challenge that, and our most powerful yet in the low-to-mid tier. It brings the very latest smartphone technology to the heart of the broad consumer mass market, delivering big-screen mobile entertainment without compromise.”
Huawei Ascend G510 Features
Joining Huawei’s entry-level handset range, which already includes the Huawei Ascend G300, the Huawei Ascend G510 features a 4.5-inch TFT LCD display, offering a screen resolution of 480 x 854p.

The Huawei Ascend G510 features a 1750mAh battery that promises 320 hours of standby time and up to 5 hours of talk time. The handset also sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, coupled with a 0.3-megapixel front-facing snapper. This front camera can also be used to unlock the handset with facial recognition.
Running Android 4.1 Jellybean OS, the Huawei Ascend G510 is the first of the Chinese manufacturer’s handsets to launch in the UK with its Emotion UI.
