Samsung has formally unveiled the latest addition to its selection of quad-core smartphones, officially announcing the 4.7-inch Samsung Galaxy Win.
Previously confirmed for a launch in China, the Samsung Galaxy Win has now been confirmed for a European rollout, with the mid-range Android 4.1 device touch down with a zippy 1.2GHz quad-core processor running the show.
A sibling to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S4, the Samsung Galaxy Win is a mixed bag of tricks, with a selection of impressive on-paper specs partnering with a collection of relatively run-of-the-mill innards that fail to set the handset apart from its raft of middling competitors.
Samsung Galaxy Win Specs
Lining up alongside the handset’s 4.7-inch WVGA TFT display, the Samsung Galaxy Win sees the 1.2GHz quad-core CPU paired with a customary 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. Despite this relatively low storage capacity, the handset benefits from microSD expansion up to 32GB.
With a considerable 2,000mAh Lithium-Ion battery keeping things ticking along nicely, the Samsung Galaxy Win features list is bolstered by a 5-megapixel rear-mounted camera with a second, VGA snapper, also present up front.
Tipped to measure in at just 9.65mm thick and 144g in weight, Samsung has confirmed that: “Depending on the markets, the Galaxy Win will be available in two different versions – Single SIM or Dual SIM, and available in two different colours – Ceramic White and Titan Gray.”
Samsung Galaxy Win Release Date and Price
Whilst Samsung has formally unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Win for the UK market, the South Korean manufacturer has yet to confirm any concrete details in regards to a Samsung Galaxy Win release date.
With a launch period still up in the air, Samsung has, somewhat unsurprisingly, failed to announce a finalised Samsung Galaxy Win price tag. It is not expected that the handset will land much past the mid-market average.
