Philips has unveiled the Philips HTL5120 Soundbar, complete with integrated active subwoofer and wireless Bluetooth connectivity.
Packing Philips Double Bass and Virtual Surround technology, the Philips HTL5120 Soundbar provides cinema surround sound in a streamlined design to compliment slimline TVs.
Philips HTL5120 Soundbar Features
Featuring an integrated active subwoofer, the Philips HTL5120 Soundbar’s “wing shaped profile” can be positioned on the wall or on a table or TV stand. Its inbuilt orientation sensor adjusts and optimises the emitted sound according to its location to ensure no loss in quality.
To compliment any movies or TV series played through the Philips HTL5120 Soundbar, the audio device packs Philips Virtual Surround and Double Bass for apparently superb cinema like quality, despite its slim and compact design via 120W amplification.
The Philips HTL5120 Soundbar also packs Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 2.0 decoding to ensure the surround sound quality accurately reflects the music or audio content being played.
As well as Bluetooth connectivity, the Philips HTL5120 Soundbar also offers AUX, digital coaxial, audio, HDMI output and input ports to the sides and rear of the device.
Looking set to rival other soundbars like the Sonos Playbar, Orbitsound M12 and Panasonic SC-HTB20, other features offered by the Philips HTL5120 Soundbar include an Auto Volume Leveller, Night Mode and Treble and Bass control.
Philips HTL5120 Soundbar Release Date and Price
The Philips HTL5120 Soundbar release date has been set for May, with John Lewis offering the audio device for £250. It is not yet known whether other retailers will be offering the Philips Soundbar, but it has already appeared on Amazon.
