The rumoured Nexus 6 smartphone has apparently leaked once again, this time spotted in the hands of a commuter.
Android Police received the photo above from an anonymous tipster, who claims he snapped a member of the public using the device on public transport.
The photo of the handset, which is believed believed to be made by Motorola and codenamed Shamu, shows the front of the large-screened device in all its glory, with a few identifying details on the display scrubbed out.
Judging by the picture, the handset fits in with rumours asserting it’ll have a 5.9-inch screen. It also appears to be running Android L, the forthcoming version of the Google mobile operating system.
Also aligned with previous speculation, the volume buttons appear closer to the centre of the device on the right hand site, while there are front-facing speakers and a top-mounted headphone jack in the centre of the device.
Android Police also spotted a heart icon in the notifications bar, which it speculates might be related to the Google Fit app.
The Nexus 6 is expected to launch in October or November, although Google has done little to hint at the Nexus 5’s successor.
Last week the device was reportedly pictured alongside the LG G3, while a rendered mock up of the device reportedly showed it in all its glory.
The Nexus 5 was also added to the 'end of life' lists of mobile networks, suggesting the launch of a new handset is imminent.
