Rovio has released an Angry Birds Epic gameplay trailer, showing off its upcoming role playing game (RPG).
The RPG title will be free to play on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch initially, with Android and Windows Phone 8 available to be rolled out with the game’s global launch.
Sadly, the game will offer in-app purchases, which may make the game resemble Angry Birds Go in terms of in-app content.
Although the game is already available in Canada, New Zealand and Australia, it is not expected to launch in the UK and the US for quite some time.
“Angry Birds Epic is an adventure role-playing game set in a fantasy version of Piggy Island,” explains Rovio. “It offers an awesome storyline, turn-based combat, a gripping campaign with a challenging end game, a rich system of crafting weapons, armour and potions with resources the players can collect or purchase, and much more.”
The first gameplay trailer has been released for Angry Birds Epic and it doesn’t give a lot away, but we’ve embedded it below.
