Apple MacBook Pro models given Haswell upgrades


Apple has updated its range of MacBook Pro laptops with the latest Intel Haswell processors, announcing the upgrade during the iPad launch event.


Bringing the MacBook Pro into line with the recently released Haswell Apple iMac 2013 and MacBook Air 2013, the MacBook Pros will benefits from better energy efficiency and processing.


MacBook Pro 2013 Features

The 13-inch MacBook Pro is now even lighter at under 3.5lbs and is 0.71-inches thin. It now packs a fourth-generation Intel Core processor and Intel Iris graphics. It offers 128GB and from 4GB of RAM.


It now offers a 9-hour battery life, even when playing videos continuously. PCIe-based flash storage has been updated to be 3 times faster than the previous generation too.


The 15-inch MacBook Pro has fourth-generation Intel Crystalwell processor and has Intel Iris Pro graphics. You can also have Nvidia GeForce 750M graphics card if you wish.


There's up to 8-hours of battery life and comes with PCIe-flash, 802.11e Wi-Fi and Thunderbolt 2.0 ports.


MacBook Pro 2013 Release Date and Price

The 13-inch MacBook Pro is just $1299, a $200 price drop than the predecessor, while the 15-inch version starts at $1,999. Both are available now from the Apple Online Store running OS X Mavericks.
