Amazon has announced new subscription tiers for its Cloud Drive service, including an unlimited storage option.
While Amazon Prime members and owners of Amazon Fire devices already have access to unlimited photo storage courtesy of the company, two new tiers have opened up for non-Prime members, one of which offers infinite storage.
First up is the Unlimited Photos Plan, which will let you fill your cloud to the brim with as many photos as you like, all for $11.99 each year.
Unfortunately, this one’s not actually truly unlimited, as there’s a 5GB cap on generic files i.e. not photos.
It’s a great plan if you’re looking to stow away masses of images, but file hoarders might want to upgrade to a higher tier...

...specifically, the Unlimited Everything Plan. That’s Amazon’s fully unlimited service, although it’s a tad more expensive.
For $59.99 (£40), you’ll be able to put all file types into the cloud, and there’s no cap on how much you can store.
While most won’t need such expansive cloud storage, this will work out at phenomenal value for consumers who want to store huge amounts of content on the cloud.
It’s worth noting that this storage plan is actually quite cheap compared to rival offerings.
Dropbox, for instance, offers a 1TB Pro plan for $99 a year (£79 per year in UK), while OneDrive’s 1TB storage works out at just under $74 annually (£7.99 per month in UK).
You’ll be able to trial either of Amazon’s new plans free of charge for a 3-month period. If you’ve already got a Cloud Drive account, you’ll be able to upgrade directly through your settings page.
