The HTC One M9 Plus will be officially unveiled on April 8, invites to a dedicated launch event have suggested.

Backing up its latest flagship phone, the HTC One M9, the Taiwanese manufacturer is expected to debut a large screen spin-off handset at the event it has adorned with the moniker ‘More than One’.

Offering a tantalising glimpse of what’s to come, HTC has even emblazoned the event invite (below) with a teasing image of the upcoming device.

While the ‘More than One’ tagline appears to refer to the M9 Plus’ title, the image has also suggested it could be used in reference to the phone’s apparent adoption of a dual-lens camera.

Arcing back to the days of the HTC One M8, the image has backed up previous reports in suggesting the upcoming device will pair a traditional camera sensor with a secondary lens for improved depth awareness.

What’s more, the teasing picture (via PhoneArena) has shown off a phone with a sleek, two-toned metallic body similar to that of the M9.

Coming just over a week after the One M9’s March 31 UK release, the next-gen product launch will be held in Beijing, China.

No mention of the HTC One M9 Plus is made by name, but all the clues appear to be pointing in the direction of the heavily rumoured handset.

Previous leaks have suggested the M9 Plus will pair its novel camera with a 5.2-inch display.

Although only marginally larger than the 5-inch panel found on the M9, it has been repeatedly suggested that the Plus will move to an eye-popping 2560 x 1440 pixel QHD resolution.

Further features expected to make the cut include a 2.0GHz, octa-core MediaTek processor, 3GB of RAM and a Sense 7.0 skinned version of Android 5.0.
