If the Apple Watch is a little bit out of your price range, take note, Hannspree has just launched its own, sub-£30 smartwatch.
Dubbed, rather unimaginatively, the Hannspree Sports Watch, the wrist-based wearable offers all the usual smartwatch capabilities in an affordable, yet far from eye-catching form.
Styled similarly to the Misfit Shine and Misfit Flash, the rubber strap adorned smartwatch features a compact 0.68-inch OLED display on a round plastic body.
Boasting an integrated accelerometer and G sensor for fitness and sleep tracking, the bare-bones wearable can record your daily steps count, calorie burn and distances covered.
What’s more, making it a true smartwatch, it is capable of delivering call and message notifications direct to your wrist via a simple to navigate menu system.
Syncing to your smartphone via Bluetooth, the Sports Watch is, like the Pebble Time, both iOS and Android compatible.
Capable of storing up to 20 days of data on the device between syncs, it will reportedly last between five and eight days on a single charge, depending on usage.
Most importantly, however, the device is cheap. Dirt cheap.
With a minimalist, £29.99 price tag, the Hannspree Sports Watch is a massive 90 per cent cheaper than the £299, entry-level Apple Watch Sport.

Able to be returned to full power in under an hour via USB, the Hannspree Sports Watch will be offered in two colours at launch, black and blue.
For those who like their wrists free of gadget clutter, the watch will also come boxed with a necklace band for alternative wearing options.
