Channel 4 has announced that it'll be relaunching and rebranding its video on demand service from March 30.

The UK TV broadcaster had announced plans to overhaul its 4oD service and relaunch it as All 4 back in September, and it's just added more information on the process.

The All 4 on demand service will launch on March 30, bringing with it a host of new features. These will include 3G and 4G streaming for iOS devices.

As this suggests, there'll be no Android support for All 4's new features at first - those are for iOS and PC only. Full Android support will come later in the year.

Existing 4oD users will receive the new All 4 overhaul as an update to the 4oD app, including a cosmetic overhaul to the Android app.

The All 4 service itself will provide the usual catch-up content from Channel 4, Film 4, More 4 and E4, but there'll also be a new Now section that live streams each of the channels. Now will also contain "interactive content formats, news clips, short form videos and social media feeds."

There'll also be an On Soon section that provides trailers for future content, and there'll also be a dedicated Shorts section.

All 4's other main feature will operate behind the scenes, providing bespoke programme recommendations based on the individual user.

Another interesting thing to emerge from this latest announcement is a deal with O2, which will see O2 customers getting access to ten of the channel's series (including Fresh Meat, Peep Show, and Made in Chelsea) 48 hours ahead of everyone else.
