Photos of the HTC E9 appear to have leaked online, revealing a device that's considerably shinier than first anticipated.
Two weeks ago initial HTC E9 images emerged from TENAA, China's wireless regulator, along with some initial specs.
Now more detailed images have emerged courtesy of serial leaker @upleaks.
Among other things, these images appear to show that the HTC E9 will have a glossy plastic back. This stands in contrast to the all-metal HTC One M9 that was launched at the beginning of the month.
We also get a better view at that large, centrally placed camera module, as well as the phone's HTC One M9-style front section.
Leaked specs from China suggest that the HTC One E9 may well sport an M9-topping 5.5-inch QHD display. It will also apparently come equipped with a 64-bit MediaTek MT6795 CPU and 3GB of RAM, as well as 32GB of storage, a 20-megapixel main camera, and BoomSound speakers.

Before that we're expecting to see the launch of the HTC One M9+, a high-end smartphone that could make up for the somewhat underwhelming HTC One M9.
Apparently, the HTC One M9+ will be slightly larger than the M9, with a 5.2-inch QHD display. Unusually for an HTC phone, it'll also come packing a physical home button, which will house a Touch ID-like fingerprint sensor.
