The FIFA 15 UK cover star will be revealed later today, with the unmasked player to star alongside Lionel Messi as the face of the game.
With the new Barclays Premier League season having kicked off last weekend, FIFA’s big reveal comes just over a month before the game’s September 26 FIFA 15 UK release date.
While developer and publisher EA Sports has already revealed the stars of FIFA 15 covers for other territories – Clint Dempsey in the US, Shaqiri in Switzerland and David Alaba in Austria – official word on the UK cover start has yet to be given.
That is all set to change this afternoon, however, with the UK cover star to be announced at 4pm, today.
“Who should be the #FIFA15 UK cover star? Revealed TODAY @ 4pm UK time!” the official EA Sports FIFA Twitter feed has teased.
Previous British stars to grace the cover of FIFA games include Joe Hart and Gareth Bale, with Man United striker Wayne Rooney having made multiple appearances on the box.
Based on last season’s performances from British players, we would expect to see the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Daniel Sturridge or Luke Shaw feature on the game’s cover.
