A major Battlefield 4 update for the Xbox One rendition of the game has been delayed, with a number of bug fixes put on hold.
Having been set to launch late last week, the delayed Xbox One Battlefield 4 update will now not be rolled out until “late this week or early next week,” developer DICE has confirmed.
With publisher EA having confirmed that the patch will “focus on stability and some of the feedback” received on the game through the Battlefield community, gamers left wanting a fix for a one-hit kill bug which has plagued the game will be forced to wait a little longer.
"This new combined Xbox One patch is currently in testing and certification, and we will release it as soon as possible," an official DICE spokesperson announced through the company’s blog. "We are hoping to get it live late this week or early next week. We will keep you updated."
The Xbox One Battlefield 4 update delays follow recent delays to a comprehensive patch for the PS4 version of the game.
The PS4 bound update, which was postponed last week due to the need for “further testing” has been rolled out to Sony’s next-gen gamers today, December 12, a full nine days later than originally planned.
A hit with next-gen gamers, Battlefield 4 was the highest selling cross-generation FPFS title during the PS4 launch week, outselling bitter rival Call of Duty: Ghosts.
