The Elder Scrolls Online release date has been confirmed, with the massively multiplayer online roleplaying game set to launch on April 4, 2014.
Launching for PC and Mac users first, the Elder Scrolls themed MMORPG will land for the latest breed of consoles, the Xbox One and PS4 two months later.
“Get ready to begin your adventures in Tamriel,” Matt Firor, Elder Scrolls Online Game Director said in announcing the game’s release plans. “We’re exciting to announce that The Elder Scrolls Online will be available worldwide for PC and Mac on 4.4.2014 and for PS4 and Xbox One in June 2014.”
While an Elder Scrolls Online release date has been confirmed, the cost of the title’s necessary monthly subscription fee is yet to be announced.
“Game development is coming along very well,” Firor said. “We completed major systems development, and are focusing on making this the Elder Scrolls game you expect: polishing the hundreds and hundreds of hours of content, making combat even more fun and responsive, fixing quest issues, and much, much more.”
He added: “In fact, we plan on spending the next few months before launch reacting to the latest feedback from internal and external testers and gameplay data we have collected.”
