Virgin Media has launched its VIP tariff, claiming to be the best plan on the mobile market offering unlimited data, calls and texts.
The new tariff includes unlimited texts, minutes and data as well as unlimited calls to premium 0800, 0870, 0845 and 0808 numbers at the highest price band.
Existing Virgin Media TV, broadband or home phone customers are offered the VIP tariff from £26 per month. Other customers can sign up for £31 per month.
The cheapest level VIP tariff is compatible with low to mid-range handsets such as the Nokia Lumia 620, Samsung Galaxy Ace, Sony Xperia U or Samsung Galaxy Fame on 24-month contracts. Phones like the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini are also available on the VIP tariff but for an increased monthly cost.
“We’re delighted to offer our customers these exclusive and unbeatable offers they can’t get anywhere else,” said Graeme Oxby, Executive Director of Mobile at Virgin Media. “We’ve built VIP to be the ultimate worry-free monthly tariff, with unlimited calls to many 08 numbers as well as inclusive insurance with 24 hour handset replacement for Virgin Media customers.”
“In fact we’re so confident in our VIP pay monthly tariff [that] if customers can find a better tariff out there, we challenge them to take it!”
The network provider also launched a SIM Only version of its VIP tariff for £15 per month, which offers the same unlimited texts, data and minutes but on a flexible 30-day rolling contract.
“We wanted to create the best SIM Only deal out there and with unlimited data, texts and minutes for just £15 per month on a flexible 30 day contract, we believe we’ve done just that.”
Virgin Media may be making calls to premium 08 number free in light of Ofcom’s recent promise to make them free to all users, so make sure that’s not the only reason to sign up for the Virgin Media VIP tariffs.
