Samsung NX2000 unveiled as 20.3MP compact system camera


The Samsung NX2000 has been formally unveiled as the latest addition to the manufacturer’s range of compact system snappers, with a 20.3-megapixel running the show.


Pairing a streamlined, easily portable form factor with interchangeable lens photographic options, the newly announced Samsung NX2000 sees high-end stills photography matched with premium video recording, with 3D shooting and 1080P Full HD video capture thrown into the mix.


“Samsung is constantly innovating through technology and the NX2000 builds upon the success of existing NX products, offering our customers a unique and stylish camera which takes incredible pictures,” Nick Porter, Samsung Head of Digital Imaging for the UK and Ireland said.


Samsung NX2000 Specs

With a 20.3-megapixel ASP-C CMOS Sensor taking pride of place at the heart of the Samsung NX2000, the new CSC is capable of capturing up to eight frames per second, with wide ISO range of 100 to 25600 also making the cut for improved performances in all manner of lighting conditions.


Sporting a 3.7-inch, 800x480p LCD touchscreen display on the rear of its 35.7mm thick, 228g in weight shell, the Samsung NX2000 further enhances its imaging abilities with JPEG, RAW and even 3D shooting modes, while integrated Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity options aid file transfers.


Set to be made available in black, white and pink colour forms, the Samsung NX2000 specs sheet is further bolstered by an integrated HDMI port, an 1130mAh Lithium-Ion battery and 1080p Full HD video recording capabilities.


Taking hints from Samsung’s latest smartphone snappers, including that found on the Samsung Galaxy S4, the NX200 is further enhanced by all manner of shooting modes, including panorama, sunset, best face and macro modes.


Samsung NX2000 Release Date and Price

Despite having formally confirmed the device, a formal Samsung NX2000 release date and price has yet to be officially confirmed.
