A new Samsung Galaxy Camera is reportedly in the works, with leaked Bluetooth certification reports suggesting Samsung will launch a revised Android based snapper this time with calling capabilities.
Having spun off from the hugely successful Samsung Galaxy smartphone range, a line recently topped off by the Samsung Galaxy S4, the original Samsung Galaxy Camera paired an Android base and expansive touchscreen interface with strong camera capabilities and an extensive zoom range.
Seemingly set to build on this Wi-Fi and 3G capable foundation, latest reports have suggested that a second-generation Samsung Galaxy Camera could throw calling capabilities into the mix, with the snapper listed as a ‘Mobile Phone’ on the prematurely outed Bluetooth certifications listing.
Although second-generation Samsung Galaxy Camera features and specifications are still unknown, it has been reported that the device will sport the product name EK-GN120.
Having been filed for Bluetooth certification yesterday, April 30, it has been suggested that the Bluetooth 4.0 hosting second-generation Samsung Galaxy Camera could be headed for a potential IFA 2013 unveiling alongside the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

With a 16.3-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, the existing Samsung Galaxy Camera has considerable compact pedigree, further enhanced by its Android OS and Samsung UI overlay.
With a stunning 4.8-inch Super Clear LCD display sitting on the snapper’s rear with a 1280 x 720p HD resolution, the Samsung Galaxy Camera features list is further bolstered by a zippy 1.4GHz quad-core processor and 21x optical zoom range.
Running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean at its core, the Samsung Galaxy Camera adds a 1650mAh Lithium-Ion battery, optical image stabilisation and almost 4GB of internal storage to the mix.
