EE has announced that its superfast 4G mobile broadband connection has been extended to 12 more UK towns.
These 12 additional towns will take the total number of locations receiving the 4G signal to 62, with EE promising that 18 more UK towns and cities will be connected by the end of June, bringing the total to 80.
Windsor, Thame, Pontefract, Marlow, Lytham St Annes, Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Brentwood, Blackpool, Billericay, Berkhamsted and Aylesbury are all now able to connect to the 4G network.

Aiming to allow 4GEE customers to download large attachments, browse the internet, stream live TV and movies and make high quality video calls on their smartphones and tablets when outside their homes or workplace.
“Our rollout of the country’s first 4G mobile network is continuing at a great pace to ensure that we are connecting people right across the UK to one of the fastest mobile networks in the world, as quickly as possible,” said Olaf Swantee, CEO at EE. “Consumers and businesses in the UK use mobile internet more than any other market, and rely on it for long commutes; there is a demand for the best mobile services, and we’re working to meet that demand.”
EE aims to bring 4G coverage to 70 per cent of the British population by the end of this year, and to 98 per cent of the UK by the close of 2014.
Currently the only UK network provider to offer 4G, EE are setting the mark by introducing double-speed 4G to ten UK cities by the summer that will offer headline speeds of up to 80Mbps and average speeds of more than 20Mbps.
Recently revealing it has 318,000 customers signed up to the 4G network, EE will soon face competition from the Ofcom 4G auction winners, O2, Vodafone, Three and BT.
