Resident Evil: Revelations

The console adaptation of Resident Evil: Revelations has entered the UK All Format Gaming Chart at number one this week.

Originally released on the Nintendo 3DS at the beginning of 2012, entering the chart at number six, the game has been ported for the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U and PC in high-definition.

Capcom’s second number one entry so far this year, it previously had success with DMC: Devil May Cry in the third week of 2013.

Football simulator FIFA 13 climbed to second place this week from third, due to further price promotions to tie in with the end of the football season. It could also be bolstered by the announcement of FIFA 14 for the next-generation Xbox One console.

Last week’s number one, Metro: Last Night, dropped to third place this week, followed by previous chart leader Dead Island: Riptide, which enjoyed three weeks at the top of the UK All Format Gaming Chart.

A new entry into this week’s gaming chart is at number 5. Similar to this week’s leader, Donkey Kong Country Returns has been re-released in a new adaptation for Nintendo 3DS. The original Wii version launched in 2010.

At number six is Assassin’s Creed 3, rising from ninth place and at number seven is last week’s number eleven, Far Cry 3.

Number nine and ten are both filled by chart re-entries for the week ending May 25. Luigi’s Mansion climbs to ninth place from twelfth, and Lego City Undercover: The Chase Begins is at tenth after falling to thirteenth last week.

Injustice: Gods Among Us, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Infinity, The Walking Dead and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 all fell from the top ten this week.
