BlackBerry Q10 video review

If you haven’t already given our BlackBerry Q10 review a read, you may want to check out our video review to get an overview of what we thought of the first full QWERTY keyboard BB10 handset.

The second BB10 OS device released, the BlackBerry Q10 is aimed to appeal to the loyal BlackBerry business users who appreciate a physical keyboard.

To complement the full QWERTY keyboard, the Q10 has a 3.1-inch touch display with 720x720p resolutions and a 330ppi image density. Packing a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with 2GB of RAM, the BlackBerry Q10 has 16GB of internal storage, expanded by the microSD card slot supporting an additional 32GB.

The rear camera offers 8-megapixels, 1080p HD video recording, via its 5-element F2.2 lens. In the front is a 2-megapixel fixed-focus camera capable of 720p HD video recording, useful for self-portraits and video calling.

The BlackBerry Q10 features a micro HDMI port for connection to an HDTV or projector, a 2,100mAh removable battery and up to 13.5 hours of talk time.

Operating on 4G LTE networks and offering Bluetooth and Bluetooth 4.0 BLE technology, the BlackBerry Q10 is also equipped with GPS and NFC via the BlackBerry Tag feature.

In our review, the BlackBerry Q10 received a score of seven out of ten, due to its awkward 1:1 screen ratio, expensive price tag and lack of BlackBerry 10 support.

We did like the physical QWERTY interface, strong camera and the fluidity of the touchscreen and keyboard combination.
