Neverdrop is a mobile case that's hard to drop

Judging from the number of cracked iPhone screens around, plenty of people could do with being more careful with their handset. If that's you, this iPhone case is right up your alley.

It has a strap on the back, so you effectively wear the case on your finger. Kind of.

Because it's hooked on your finger, it should prove near impossible to drop. If you remember to hook your finger in each time, that is. Which we can't say we would.

According to the makers, you can easily reach the top of the screen with your thumb, but we'd have to try it for ourselves to confirm that. During our time with gigant-o phones like the iPhone 6 Plus, we've often found ourselves stretching to reach to upper portion of the screen, so a bit of wriggle room is most welcome. Being strapped into the phone case seems a little restrictive.

But if it saves your £600 baby from being smashed on the pavement, it will be worth it.

The Kickstarter page also shows someone wearing their iPhone like it's a massive, rectangular ring. But we can't see that catching on.

The shell is made from a polycarbonate and should be tough enough to withstand bumps and scrapes, while the raised front edge keeps the screen safe and sound.

The strap is adjustable Velcro, so should fit fingers of all sizes. It's also interchangeable, so you can match the colour to your outfit, if you really want.

If it hits its $5,000 goal, it will start shipping in January next year.
