Misfit Flash announced as affordable wearable

Having impressed with the Shine, Misfit is back with a new, more affordable wearable, the Misfit Flash.

A wallet-friendly offering which will set wannabe owners back just £50, the Flash follows a similar, fitness and sleep tracking foundation as the Misfit Shine.

The Bluetooth enabled wearable, which syncs with your smartphone, offers feedback on a variety of performance metrics.

Flash is the only fully featured activity and sleep tracker in the world for under £50, making it incredible value,” Tim Golnik, Misfit’s Vice President of Product and Design said.

Like its big brother, the Misfit Flash is capable of measuring user’s steps count, calorie burn, distance covered and sleep quality.

Featuring 12 LED lights on its face, the Flash can display the time and progress towards a daily goal direct from the device. All other metrics are available through the free-to-download smartphone app.

Waterproof to 30 metres, the body of plastic Flash is a single push button.

Whereas the Shine is available in a range of metallic hues, the Flash is set to be made available in seven vibrant tones.

Joining the traditional black and white colour schemes are ‘lemon-lime Zest’ and ‘funky Fuschia’ options. Red, blue and turquoise offerings are also set to be made available at launch.

A Misfit Flash release date has been set for ‘mid-November’ while official pricing is a consumer appeasing £49.99.
