The Note 4 could land sooner than expected
A Samsung Galaxy Note 4 release date could be held in the immediate wake of the phone’s IFA 2014 unveiling, latest reports have suggested.
Despite Samsung often leaving weeks, or even months, between unveiling its leading phones and having them hit retailer’s shelves, reports out of the company’s native Korean have claimed the Note 4 will go on sale within days of being unveiled.
It is believed that this early September Galaxy Note 4 release could be an effort to stave off competition from the iPhone 6, a handset expected to launch later that month in both 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch guises.
Korean outlet NewsTomato has cited ‘multiple sources’ in claiming the Galaxy Note 4 is about to enter mass production in order to go on sale shortly after the phone’s expected September 3 launch event.
It has suggested that the Note 4 will start being pieced together next month, with production to be further ramped up in August in an effort to meet early demand.
According to recent Samsung Galaxy Note 4 rumours, the next-generation phablet will be formally unveiled during Samsung’s pre-IFA press conference, an event pegged for September 3.
Further reports have claimed that the Galaxy Note 3 follow-on will land with a new, 5.7-inch QHD display in tow, copying the 2560 x 1440p resolution screen found on the new LG G3.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 specs sheet is also expected to be bolstered by the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM and the same 16-megapixel rear-mounted camera as its flagship sibling, the Samsung Galaxy S4.
As Samsung has yet to offer any formal indication as to when, or indeed if, it plans to launch a new Note device, these leaks should not be taken as gospel, however likely they are.
