Moto G with 4G hits UK

You can now pick up the improved Motorola Moto G with 4G and expandable storage here in the UK.

The original Moto G was a bit of a revelation, providing a slick and stylish 4.5-inch stock Android experience for around £130.

In fact, just about the only criticisms that could be levelled at the Moto G was its lack of storage and its bog-standard 3G connectivity. Now both of those issues have been addressed.

Motorola took the wraps of the new Moto G back in mid-May, at the same time as it launched the budget Moto E. It's exactly the same Moto G that we all know and love, but with a microSD slot for storage expansion purposes and 4G network compatibility.

Due to that aforementioned memory expansion facility, Motorola has scrapped the 16GB internal storage option from the original range.

Just last week, online retailers began hinting at an imminent UK launch for the remodelled handset. Sure enough, retailers such as Clove, Amazon, and Play.com are now listing the phone as available - some for right now, and some for June 30.

The price seems to be around the £160 mark. It's worth noting that you can still pick the original Moto G up for as little as £100, but that's not to say that this new more flexible version isn't still excellent value for money.

You'll struggle to get anything as well specced or solid in the hand for less than £200.
