Metro Redux release date announced

Deep Silver has announced the Metro Redux release date, with the game bundle touching down in August.

European gamers will be able to play Metro Redux from August 29, while US gamers will get it a little earlier on August 26.

The game bundle will launch for PC, PS4 and Xbox One only, as Metro Redux offers remastered versions of previously released games Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light.

Metro Redux also offers all previously launched add-on DLC within one package too.

To make the Metro Redux package even more appealing, Deep Silver is making the remastered game package pretty affordable. This is aimed at giving gamers who haven’t had a chance to play the Metro games an easy access point, but will no doubt appeal to existing fans.

Both Redux versions, Metro: Last Light Redux and Metro 2033 Redux, can be purchased separately with all their respective DLC for £15.99 each. Or you can opt to buy the special Metro Redux compilation for £34.99.

If you already own the Steam versions of the original game, you can get the separate Redux versions for half-price if you pre-order them now.

Metro 2033 Redux will get a host of new visual and gameplay improvements, including day and night cycles, a new lighting engine and some levels have been expanded or connected to become one huge single level, like Dead City.

Metro: Last Light Redux will be more about a graphical facelift, rather than major gameplay improvements. You will be able to check your inventory and watch with the Redux though.

Both Redux games are expected to run at 60fps, with the PS4 at 1080p full HD and the Xbox One at 900p HD.
