HTC One 2 leaks with largely unchanged design

New HTC One 2 images have leaked ahead of the phone’s formal unveiling, with the second-generation handset tipped to feature a design markedly similar to the original.

With the HTC One 2 widely expected to launch at a post MWC 2014 press conference in March, the eagerly awaited handset has made yet another premature appearance. The latest claimed images have shown off a handset with a sleek, brushed metal finish largely similar to last year’s HTC One.

Leaking via Twitter and the HTCFamily account, the claimed HTC One 2 image, which we must stress should be taken with a pinch of salt, shows a handset with screen-bordering BoomSound speakers and a forward-facing camera mounted on the handset’s upper edge.

Backing up further HTC One 2 rumours and leaks, the teased shot has again suggested that the phone will lose its current soft-touch Android controls in favour of digital, on screen options.

Although not highlighted in the latest leaked shots, recent HTC One 2 images have also claimed the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 rival will sport a dual-sensor rear-mounted camera for improve image focusing and metering in low-light conditions.

Further HTC One 2 specs to do the rounds early have suggested the handset will boast a 5-inch, 1080p Full HD display alongside 2GB of RAM, a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and Google’s latest Android 4.4 KitKat OS.
