The price of the Nintendo Wii U Premium pack has been cut to £180 in some retail outlets, one of the lowest prices for the console ever.
UK retailer Argos and online retail giant Amazon have cut the Wii U Premium price to just £179.99, down from its original RRP of £299.
The Wii U was released in November 2012, but has failed to achieve fantastic commercial success. Most retailers are offering at least £50 off for the Premium bundle, but Argos and Amazon are the cheapest yet.
With the Wii U’s original Premium pack, you get the mini-game compilation Nintendo Land, 32GB of internal storage and a cradle for the both the Wii U itself and the 6.2-inch GamePad controller.
Other retailers are offering additional Wii U Premium bundles with games like The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD and New Super Mario Bros U for £239.99 - £60 off the original price even when bundled with at least one game.
Early last year, the price of the 8GB Basic Nintendo Wii U version was slashed repeatedly by retailers to the point it was actually being sold at a loss.
Earlier this week, Nintendo dramatically readjusted its Wii U sales forecast to 2.8 million for the financial year, down from an original prediction of 9 million.
Nintendo also predicted a rather humiliating ¥35 billion loss (£205.4 milion), which would make it the second year loss in a row.
