Fitness trackers are a great way of keeping tabs on your health and fitness, but they can be a pain to wear. This one is like a sticker, so you won't even notice it while you're working out.

It's called the Ampstrip, and it's a thin, waterproof device that sticks to your torso like a plaster. It measures heart rate, activity, exercise load, skin temperature and posture, as well as resting heart rate and heart rate recovery time.

Because it measures the load you're putting on your body, you'll know whether you should be pushing yourself a little harder, or if that would result in injury.

Sync it to the app, and you can see all your data so you can see how you improve over time.

It promises to be very accurate too, as you stick it to your torso where your heart rate signal is strongest. We'll have to wait to test it to see whether that's true or not.

The downside is that the adhesive will wear off, and will have to be replaced. While the makers claim this is "easy and inexpensive" to do, it could prove pricey over months and years. And it won't be ideal if it falls off during a workout.

It also promises to detect which activity you're doing without you telling it. Again, we're reserving judgement until we've tried it for ourselves.

It's a new take on the fitness tracker, and that deserves praise. (We've seen enough wrist bands to last us a lifetime.) It should start shipping in June.
