New FIFA 15 trailer looks at goalkeeper improvements

A new FIFA 15 trailer has been released, just weeks ahead of the game’s launch, looking at the upcoming goalkeeper improvements.

With the latest instalment to the much loved FIFA franchise set to feature a number of small improvements which should add to big changes, EA has now detailed how it has looked to improve goalkeeper reactions and realism.

According to FIFA 15 Senior Producer Nick Channon, the game’s goalkeeper mechanics have been redeveloped from “the ground up”.

He added that the goalie changes have taken “over two years of development” to perfect.

As well as more natural actions and responsiveness when collecting loose balls or saving shots with their legs, the goalkeepers are now able to better react to deflected shots.

Working with professional players to perfect the improvements, EA has developed the new goalie motions with Everton and USA shot stopper Tim Howard.

Goalies aside, FIFA 15 will include new ball physics, pitch erosion and improved crowd and player emotions for a more true-to-life gaming experience.

A FIFA 15 release date has been set for September 26.
