Is this the Samsung Galaxy F?
New images of the heavily rumoured Samsung Galaxy F have leaked, showing off the upcoming high-end handset in all its glory.
Having been the subject of much speculation for a number of months, the reportedly QHD display hosting premium spin-off of the Galaxy S5 has appeared in a series of newly leaked press renders.
Shown sporting a “glowing gold” hue, the Galaxy F looks remarkably similar to the S5 from the front, although the as yet unconfirmed device is said to feature a more high-end, brushed metal rear.
Surfacing courtesy of the Twitter-based repeated tech tipster @evleaks, the latest Samsung Galaxy F pictures were joined by the caption: “Samsung Galaxy F (which is/not/the S5 LTE-A), in glowing gold (yes, a different shade apparently), 2014).
This claimed 2014 Samsung Galaxy F release date fits with recent reports suggesting the phone will land later this summer as the globally available version of the Korea exclusive S5 LTE-A.
Officially unveiled earlier this week, the S5 LTE-A packs a 2560 x 1440p QHD display alongside Qualcomm’s latest 805 processor and 3GB of RAM – all components expected to feature on the much mooted Galaxy F.
Based on the leaked render’s on-screen visuals, the Galaxy F could be heading for a September 12 release, meaning it will likely be unveiled in late July or early August, leaving space for the expected IFA unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
