Is this the iPhone 6 panel?
The first photograph of what claims to be the iPhone 6 front panel has been spotted online.
We could be getting our first look at what the iPhone 6 will look like when it is launched later this year.
This rather low resolution image shows someone holding this alleged iPhone 6 panel next to a black iPhone 5S for a size comparison.
There is a huge size difference between the two models, as it looks like the iPhone 5S could easily fit within the screen alone of the iPhone 6 panel.
So far, two iPhone 6 sizes have been tipped to launch later this year. Apparently a 4.7-inch version will launch first followed by a larger 5.5-inch “phablet” version.
We can’t quite tell which model this would be, but it certainly looks ginormous next to the 4-inch iPhone 5S display.
It’s worth bearing in mind that the iPhone 5S measures up at 123.8mm x 58.6mm, which should give you some indication as to how big this iPhone 6 could be.
In terms of new hardware you can’t tell much from this front panel alone. The usual home button cutout is clearly visible along with the holes for the front-facing iSight camera, IR sensor and ear speaker.
From the looks of the bezels, they don’t look much slimmer than that featured on the current iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C models.
The iPhone 6 is expected to ship with iOS 8 pre-installed, with the next Apple mobile OS focused on healthcare and wellbeing thanks to the rumoured HealthBook app.
It is also tipped to launch alongside the heavily rumoured Apple iWatch, which would rival the likes of the Samsung Gear 2.
