O2 has announced it will be offering a PS4 bundle on launch day, complete with the Sony Xperia Z1 smartphone.
The O2 PS4 bundle is a twist on those already offered at other retails and sees Sony’s next-gen console paired with its latest flagship smartphone, the Xperia Z1.
Offered as part of the O2 Refresh tariff for new and existing customers, the O2 PS4 bundle will be available from the UK PS4 release date of November 29.
“Our bundle brings together the best of gaming and mobile this Christmas,” said David Johnson, GM of Devices for O2 UK. “We know our customers love to play and now they can enjoy brilliant gaming with O2, whether they’re at home or on the go. And with our O2 Refresh tariffs getting into the game is cheaper than ever before.”
The O2 PS4 bundle includes a 500GB PS4 console, a copy of Killzone: Shadow Fall, 12 months free access to PlayStation Plus and a Sony Xperia Z1.
It will cost you £52 per month on a two-year contract and comes with unlimited minutes, texts and 1GB of 3G data and an upfront cost of £89.99 for the phone.
As it is part of the O2 Refresh scheme, which splits the cost of the phone and the tariff allowing you to upgrade your phone early if you so wish. You’ll have to pay the remaining balance on just the phone, rather than the entire contract if you want to upgrade.
O2 is offering the PS4 bundle at 65 select stores across the UK from November 29 and you’ll have to be quick as there’s only limited stock.
The full list of participating O2 UK stores is listed on the O2 website.
