Bungie has finally released the full Destiny PS4 game trailer, three weeks after it was demoed at Sony’s E3 2013 press event.
Now in full 1080p HD resolutions, Bungie and Activision have released the first Destiny PS4 gameplay trailer showing off its FPS in a 12-minute long video.
Originally the Destiny gameplay footage was showed off at E3 but Bungie has been slow to make the Destiny gameplay trailer available to the public, apart from the poor-quality live stream recordings posted on YouTube.
“In the world of Destiny you’re a legend in the making, a guardian of the last safe city on earth”, states the gameplay trailer.
It showcases two gamers meeting up on the outskirts of Old Russia, before the pair battle enemies and navigate through a rather industrial environment.
We detect elements of Halo and Portal in Destiny from this gameplay trailer, and seeing as this is Bungie’s first debut on a Sony console we expect it to be pretty spectacular.
With the gameplay trailer released as part of the game studio’s annual Bungie Week, the Halo creator promises further Destiny goodies before the week’s end. The official Bungie Day falls on July 7, “the seventh day of the seventh month”, so we could see some big Destiny reveal then.
“This Bungie Day arrives at an interesting moment of our shared adventure. The road before us is far less mysterious than it has been in years past, yet still riddled with surprises we can’t wait to spring,” reads the Bungie website. “As we journey ever closer toward our shared Destiny, we’ll pay equal time to redefining our past and meditating our future.”
Bungie has yet to offer an official Destiny release date, but will be arriving somewhere in 2014. This means it definitely won’t be a launch title for either of the next-gen consoles.
Destiny is available to pre-order now for £55.99 on the Xbox One and PS4, or £44.99 on PS3 and Xbox 360.
