New Twitter.com

Twitter has unveiled a brand new homepage experience for the millions of users who find themselves on Twitter.com without ever logging in.

The new landing spot on the web will now show a host of curated topics, based around pop artists, TV shows and stars, cute animals, business news and much more.

There’s even collections of tweets from tech blogs and reporters, although we’re not sure why you’d want to follow those guys.

Clicking these topics will allow those who refrain from joining or signing in to get a sense of what they might be missing, with real-time updates from some of the most popular accounts in each category. They’ll also be able to search the site for hashtags accounts and other prevalent information.

The idea is to get the non-committal Twitter fancier so jazzed that they won’t be able to resist signing in or smacking that ‘sign up’ button.

“Today, we’re making a big change for the many millions of people who visit every month who don’t log in, but still want to know what’s happening,” the company wrote on its official blog.

“Starting today, when you go to the twitter.com homepage, you’ll find interesting topics to explore like Politics, Pop Artists and even Cute Animals. Click on the topic and you’ll see a timeline of Tweets from some of the most popular accounts in that topic. It’s rich real-time content, just like the Twitter experience for users who log in.”
