New renders have leaked purportedly showcasing the much-mooted HTC One M9 Plus.

The image, leaked courtesy of prolific tipster Onleaks, reveals a sized-up version of the HTC One M9 alongside the existing flagship.

HTC hasn’t offered up any details on the rumoured device thus far, so this mock-up is one of our best looks yet at the device.

So what’s changed from the HTC One M9? For starters, there’s the return of the Duo Camera on the rear, which we previously saw on last year’s HTC One M8.

There also seems to be a physical home button on the device’s bottom bezel, which gels with rumours that the upcoming handset will carry a fingerprint sensor.

The HTC One M9 Plus pictured is clearly larger than the HTC One M9 too, although it’s not a huge leap in screen size. The HTC One M9, for comparison, ships with a 5-inch 1080p display.

The new device, however is expected to carry a 5.2-inch, 2k display, although other reports have suggested a larger 5.5-inch panel will be used instead. This mock-up suggests the former is true.

It will also reportedly run off a 2.0GHz octa-core MediaTek processor, instead of the Snapdragon 810 chip that landed inside the HTC One M9.

The HTC One M9 currently prices up at £580 SIM-free, so we’d expect that this beefed up blower will cost considerably more, like stepping on the turf of the iPhone 6 Plus and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge.

While it’s not yet clear when the pumped up the device will actually land, but our best guess in some time in Q2, possibly May. The HTC One M9, meanwhile, is due on March 31 – the final day of Q1.
