Leaked Galaxy S6 frame

With the Samsung Galaxy S6 widely expected to adopt a new metal design, claimed images of the phone’s body have leaked online.

Tipped to echo the recently released Galaxy Alpha and Galaxy Note 4 in moving to more premium design materials, the newly leaked images show a metal uni-body frame believe to belong to the upcoming S6.

Popping up online courtesy of French site NoWhereElse, the purported Galaxy S6 images show a handset frame hewn from a single piece of aluminium.

Leaking through claimed supply chain sources, the mooted S6 images should be treated with pinch of salt for now given their less than official foundations.

Although offering no insight into the phone’s upcoming specs sheet, the leaks have suggested that the S6 could feature a double pronged base similar to that of the Galaxy Alpha.

In recent years Samsung has been repeatedly criticised for the low-quality materials and build quality used on its flagship phones.

With the Galaxy S6 needing to revive the manufacturer’s ailing standing in the smartphone space, it is expected the handset will pair a premium design with a new array of high-end specs.

According to recent leaks, the Galaxy S6 will host an LG G3 mimicking QHD display alongside a Snapdragon 810 processor and improved camera optics.

The Galaxy S6 is expected to be released in Q2 following an MWC 2015 unveiling in early March.
