Currys & PC World Boxing Day Sale

The Currys and PC World Boxing Day sale is now on and it has promising deals available. Here are some of the picks:

Dyson DC41 Animal Mk2 (2015) for £319 -- The next best price we've seen is £329 on John Lewis and most sell it for £349. The best thing about this deal, however, is the DC41 Animal 2015 won Best Vacuum Cleaner in the 2014 TrustedReviews Awards. It's a great deal on a great vacuum cleaner. Click here for the deal.

Save £80 on 8GB Apple MacBook Air 13-inch at £849 -- Currys is also selling the base spec 13-inch MacBook Air but with 8GB RAM, which is effectively a RAM upgrade for free over the standard 4GB version. That's a saving of £80 and any saving on an Apple product is hard to come by. Click here for the deal.

eBay Boxing Day Sale

eBay has a sales page that pulls in deals and special seller offers. It's a good place to keep an eye on as we've seen some decent deals already:

Sony PS4 for £299 -- We've seen similar deals elsewhere, but they come and go. Argos on eBay has this deal currently. Get it while they're hot. Click here for the deal.

Amazon Boxing Day Sale

Amazon's Boxing Day deals page includes timed limited and non-time limited deals, with the main deals kicking off at 4pm today. Here are some that have already caught our eye.

Also, coming up are the following time limited deals that might be worth checking out.

  • 4:00pm Christmas Day: TomTom Classic XXL

  • 4:00pm Christmas Day: Logitech Harmony Smart Control

  • 4:00pm Christmas Day: Sony HX60 Camera

  • 6:30pm Christmas Day: Xbox One Essentials Pack

  • 8:00am Boxing Day: Elgato Game Capture HD60

  • 9:40am Boxing Day: SanDisk Extreme 60MB/s SDXC card

eBuyer Boxing Day Sale

We rather like the look of some of eBuyer's Christmas Daily Deals, which at the time of writing included the LG G3 for just £299 unlocked. Keep checking back daily to see what else is on offer.

John Lewis Boxing Day Sale

We've perused the John Lewis deals pages and haven't, thus far, turned up anything of serious note. If you sot a deal, let us know in the comments.

Argos Boxing Day Sale

Argos is often a good source of deals and it has a sales page you can bookmark.

Tesco Direct Boxing Day Sale

Tesco has deals on pretty much anything in its The Big Sale section, though that's not to say everything is a bona fide deal. We've spotted one decent-ish deal so far, which is the first-gen iPad mini for £169 -- a £30 saving on the Apple price.

Carphone Warehouse Boxing Day Sale

The Carphone Warehouse sales has provided disappointing so far but we'll keep an eye on it.

Vodafone Boxing Day Sale

Vodafone's SIM-only deals are worth taking a look at as it has cut the prices on its Red Plan SIMs, all but one of which includes free Spotify, Now TV, Netflix or Sky Sports Mobile for 6 to 12 months -- you choose which you want.

Best Gaming Deals

If you're more interested in deals on games and new consoles, we have you covered. Head to our Best Console Deals for great deals on the Xbox One, PS4 and more. For PC fans, head to our Steam Winter Sale round-up.

How can I avoid bad Boxing Day deals?

Your smartphone is your friend here – a good price comparison and barcode scanner app will save you a bunch of time and money. It's surprisingly hard to find a good one since Google killed its Google Shopper app, though. We'd recommend ShopSavvy from the ones we tried – it's available on iOS, Android and Windows Phone. Idealo and Price Runner are also worth considering, not to mention good old Google search. Avoid RedLaser as it's now owned by eBay and shows only eBay prices, which isn't helpful at all.

If you're on a laptop, or don't mind navigating its non-mobile optimised website, Amazon price tracker CamelCamelCamel is a great way to check exactly how good a deal is. It tracks price changes on products over time, making it easier to see if that 'down from' claim is really accurate or not.
