Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo officially announced, may not come to UK

Samsung has churned out yet another large-screen smartphone with middling-specs and no star features, the Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo.

Appearing on the official Samsung Levant and Bulgaria websites, the formerly rumoured Galaxy Grand Neo is a 5.01-inch smartphone that will fail to amaze you.

At the moment, there’s no pricing information and no official word if and when it will come to the UK.

The Grand Neo has also popped up on a Dutch retail website, suggesting it will be available in the EU though.

Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo Features

The Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo has a 5.01-inch 800 x 480p display and runs on a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM.

It features 16GB of internal storage, which is helped by microSD expansion up to 64GB. There’s also Bluetooth 4.0 LE connectivity, but lacks 4G LTE.

Powered by a 2,100mAh battery, Samsung claims the Grand Neo offers 8 hours of 3G use, 10 hours of Wi-Fi only, and 11 hours of talk time on a single charge.

One of the Grand Neo’s redeeming qualities is that it comes with some of the better Samsung software features, including Multi Window and Pop Up Play.

Dual SIM slots are also featured, along with a 5-megapixel rear camera and 0.3-megapixel front-facing snapper.

A Dutch retailer is listing the Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo for €260 (£214), but we doubt it’ll ever come to the UK if we’re honest.
