GTA 5 PC release will be made available for pre-order on Friday, retailer suggests


With gamers having petitioned Rockstar for a wider GTA 5 release, latest reports have suggested a GTA 5 PC edition will be made available for pre-order this Friday.


With a GTA 5 PC release having long been mooted to be on the cards, Nordic retailer Elgiganten, part of the Dixon UK retail group, has claimed that Rockstar will officially announce the title later this week, making the game immediately available to order.


Although it is not believed the game will actually hit store shelves for weeks, or indeed months, a manager of one of the retail chain’s stores reportedly told Gamereactor that a GTA 5 PC edition will be formally confirmed on Friday.


With a high profile petition having seen hundreds of thousands of gamers call on Rockstar to bring GTA 5 to PC, to date the games has been launched exclusively for the Xbox 360 and PS3. At present there is no GTA 5 titles available for next-gen consoles.


A GTA 5 PC release has been repeatedly teased in recent weeks, with a leaked video suggesting the game was in the works.


On top of this, a series of GTA 5 PC bug reports have leaked, hinting that Rockstar is well through the process of testing the new platform launch.
