The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 could have a 3450mAh battery

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will head to market with Google’s latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS in tow alongside a larger battery, latest reports have suggested.

With the existing Samsung Galaxy Note 2 playing host to an already sizeable 3100mAh Lithium-Ion battery, newly surfaced leaks have hinted that {pullquote}the eagerly awaited Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will make the jump to a hefty 3450mAh battery{pullquote} offering to give the phone added staying power.

Citing an unnamed source who has reportedly “seen the engineering sample of the phablet first hand,” PhoneArena has suggested that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will pair its new oversized battery capacity with the recently launched Android 4.3 OS.

Bringing a small collection of new features and refinements over the ever-present Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean software, Android 4.3 sees restricted profiles introduced alongside new Bluetooth Smart support and revised OpenGL graphics options.

This 11 per cent boost in battery capacity should help improve the Galaxy Note 3’s battery life, even taking into account the phone’s widely rumoured increase in screen size and more powerful, power-hungry processor and RAM combination.

The larger battery life leaks also add credibility to recent claims that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 specs sheet would see a new 3GB DDR3 RAM chip make the cut.

Unveiling its latest mobile RAM production late last month, an official Samsung spokesperson stated: “Samsung's new ultra-slim memory solutions will enable thinner smartphone designs and allow for additional battery space, while offering a data transfer speed of up to 2,133 megabits per second (Mbps) per pin."

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Rumours

Recent Samsung Galaxy Note 3 rumours have all pointed to the stylus packing smartphone being formally unveiled as part of the Korean manufacturer’s pre-IFA September 4 Unpacked event. In issuing invites to the Berlin based launch, Samsung told members of the press to ‘Note the date’.

Further Samsung Galaxy Note 3 leaks have seen the handset tipped to sport a new 5.7-inch Full HD display alongside the same 1.9GHz quad-core CPU and 13-megapixel rear-mounted camera found on the existing Samsung Galaxy S4.
