Tefal OptiGrill cooks everyone the perfect steak all at the same time

Tefal Optigrill

Tefal Optigrill will cook you the perfect steak

Tefal enters the grilling ring and squares up to George Foreman with the man-sized Optigrill.

Tefal, best known for its cookware and electrical appliances, has announced that its new Optigrill is now available to buy.

Seven years in the making, the heavy-duty grilling machine is capable of cooking several pieces of steak all at the same time whether your dinner guests need one to be rare, another to be medium and the other to be well done.

The Optigrill is also primed to cook the perfect piece of fish, chicken, burger, rasher of bacon, sausage with a manual setting if you need to be a bit more creative with your grilling.

To cook each piece of meat to perfection, the Optigrill is able to measure the thickness of the cuts and adjust the cooking time accordingly. It can also detect how many pieces of meat are on the grill and calculates the cooking temperature depending on how much is on the cooking plate.

Preventing you from under or overcooking, an LED display up front will tell you when the meat is entering the searing phase before moving into the cooking phase. A yellow light means rare, an orange is medium and red means it's well done. The sound of a beep will also tell you when it’s time to lift the lid and grab your meat off the tray.

There's a large 600cm2 grilling surface which means there is plenty of room to feed the family and unlike the George Foreman grill, there's no need to add oil. The non-stick plates can also be removed making it easier to clean or throw into the dishwasher.

The Tefal Optigrill is available to buy now from IdealWorld and is priced at £129.99. You can find out more information about it on the Tefal website.
