GTA 5 gameplay trailer coming tomorrow, July 9

RockStar Games has announced that the first GTA 5 gameplay trailer is arriving tomorrow, but fails to offer any details as to what it will contain.

Landing on the GTA 5 portal of the Rockstar website, the first gameplay trailer will be available tomorrow from 10am Eastern Time.

UK GTA fans will be able to watch the first gameplay trailer from 3pm BST.

"#GTAV Official Gameplay Video Coming Tmrw. 10am Eastern," reads the Rockstar tweet.

Announcing the incoming GTA 5 gameplay trailer via the official Rockstar Games twitter feed, the developer has left any details surrounding the upcoming trailer to fan imagination.

We expect that it will showcase how players can swap between the three protagonists of GTA 5 – Michael, Franklin and Trevor – seeing as this is the first in the franchise to have a playable multi-character line-up.

Rockstar has previously released a trio of GTA 5 character trailers revealing more details about the game’s main characters, including how the three intersect throughout the narrative. You can watch these below.

Players will be able to control all three characters, switching between them at will and even during missions.

Based around eight main heists, the GTA 5 storyline takes place in Rockstar Game’s version of Los Angeles, Los Santos. The biggest map of the series so far, it is expected to be around three times larger than that of Red Dead Redemption or vaster than the combined worlds of GTA: San Andreas and GTA 4.

Prior to the GTA 5 gameplay trailer release, fans can content themselves with the huge array of GTA 5 screenshots on the Rockstar website.

The game will be released on September 17 and will require a mandatory install on both the Xbox 360 and PS3 prior to playing.

Rockstar Games still maintains that it will not be releasing GTA 5 for PC gamers, or for the next-generation Xbox One or PS4 consoles anytime soon.
