The Samsung Gear S UK release date has been delayed until mid-November, latest reports have suggested.
With the oversized wearable having been unveiled at IFA 2014 last month, it had been suggested the Moto 360 rival would do on sale this month.
Although Samsung has yet to announce any formal release plans for the Tizen-powered device, claimed insiders have told SamMobile that the Korean manufacturer has been forced to push back its intended release schedule.
Despite Gear S pre-orders having been open for over a month, it is now believed the smartwatch will not actually hit retailers until the second week of November.
We have contacted Samsung for an official comment around these claims and will update this post accordingly as soon as we hear back.
The Gear S is Samsung’s sixth wearable offering in just 12 months.
Having overlooked Android Wear in favour of its own Tizen platform, Samsung has fitted the Gear S with a wrist dominating 2-inch curved AMOLED display.
This sizeable panel is paired with a 1GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage.
The Gear S’ party piece, however, is its ability to act as a standalone device. With integrated Wi-Fi connectivity and room for a 3G SIM card, the wrist wear can make and receive calls without the need for a synced smartphone.
