Sky Atlantic is part of the Entertainment bundle
Sky has brought its Entertainment and Movies packages to the Apple TV set-top box via its Now TV streaming platform.
In addition to the Sky Sports bundles that have been available for some time, the satellite broadcaster is now giving users the option to buy the Now TV Entertainment Month Pass and the Sky Movies Month Pass.
The bundles, which don’t require a dish or a long commitment from users, allow viewers to watch live, catch up on missed episodes or delve into box sets.
The Entertainment bundle is just £4.99 until October 16 and then £6.99 after that. The main advantage for those folks will be the presence of Sky Atlantic, which brings the hottest programming from the United States, like Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, Ray Donovan and masses of awesome archive content.
Among the other 12 channels offered through the bundles are Fox (The Walking Dead anyone?), Comedy Central (new South Park starts this week!), Discovery and Sky Living.
Elsewhere the Sky Movies package can be had on a 30-day free trial, is £8.99 a month until October 16 and then £9.99 a month thereafter. The Netflix-bothering offering brings 16 new premieres a month and 800 movies on demand.
Users will be able to buy the packages as a subscription or a one off through their iTunes accounts. Of course, if you don't feel like spending £80 on an Apple TV box, you could spend just a tenner on the dedicated Now TV box.
