The white PS4 is expanding beyond its Destiny roots as the lighter toned console is confirmed to feature in a new DriveClub bundle.
With the upcoming racer also set to land alongside the traditional black PlayStation, the White PS4 DriveClub bundle will be just the second time the Glacier White console has been made available to consumers. The white PS4 was introduced earlier this month alongside Bungie’s new epic, Destiny.
“Today I’m excited to reveal two more official PS4 bundles for DriveClub in Europe, available when the game launches on 8th October 2014,” Chris Brown, Product Manager at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe announced via the official PlayStation blog.
He added: "First up is the Glacier White PS4 bundle with an RRP of €439.99."
The DriveClub bundle will see a copy of the eagerly awaited game boxed alongside a 500GB white PS4 and a white DualShock 4 controller.
While the white PS4 has been exclusive available through bundle deals to date, this is set to change in the near future.
Speaking exclusively with TrustedReviews recently, Sony’s Managing Director of PlayStation UK, Fergal Gara, confirmed the console will be made available as a standalone product later this year.
“We do have plans [to launch the white PS4 separately] and plans before Christmas,” he told us.
Gara added: “We’re going to give Destiny a good, solid breathing space with exclusive claims on nteh white PS4 and then bring it out as a standalone product.
“We haven’t quite dated that yet, but it’ll be prior to Christmas.”
