LG Optimus G2 battery leak
The LG Optimus G2 battery capacity has leaked online, revealing that it will be on par with the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4.
The upcoming LG flagship will apparently pack a 2,540mAh battery, shown off in this rather bizarrely cropped image of the rear of the LG Optimus G2 that appeared on Korean site CDPKorea.
Similar to the 2,600mAh offering in the Samsung Galaxy S4, it seems that the LG Optimus G2’s li-ion battery will be a removeable affair.
If the leak is correct, the battery in the LG Optimus G2 will be slightly better than the 2,300mAh option in the HTC One.
LG Optimus G2 Features
Due to launch at an LG event on August 7 in New York, the LG Optimus G2 should be a super-slim device that is too thin to support traditional buttons.
As seen in the dodgy crop above, the next LG flagship smartphone will have its volume rocker located on the rear of the device below the 13-megapixel camera.
This rear-facing camera is also tipped to play host to shot enhancing optical image stabilisation which may mean the LG flagship could rival the Nokia Lumia 925 in terms of camera functionality.
The LG Optimus G2 is said to have a 5.2-inch display, which could be the thinnest Full HD panel unveiled by LG earlier this month.
LG has already confirmed that the LG Optimus G2 will be home to the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3GHz with 2GB of RAM.
This super-speedy processor would mean the LG Optimus G2 performs 75 per cent better than its predecessor, as well as the LG manufactured Google Nexus 4 or rival Sony Xperia Z.
Expect to see a lot more LG Optimus G2 rumours ahead of the expected August 7 unveiling. TrustedReviews will be attending the New York event, so stay tuned for all the gossip.
