HTC One Mini specs leaked, handset all but confirmed

HTC One Mini specs has leaked via the phone’s manufacturer, with HTC all but confirming the upcoming handset’s features list.

The most formal nod yet that a HTC One Mini is in the works, the heavily mooted HTC One spinoff has been spotted in a User Agent Profile discovered on the Taiwanese manufacturer’s official website. As well as making reference to the HTC One Mini by name, the leaked document has revealed the device will boast a 1280 x 720p HD display.

Expected to play host to a 4.3-inch HD display, the HTC One Mini is set to be a scaled down version of the company’s flagship phone, much in the same vein as the Samsung Galaxy S4 has produced the S4 Mini as one of multiple spinoff offerings.

With Google’s Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS also making an appearance on the leaked features document, it is expected that HTC will formally unveiled the HTC One Mini within a matter of weeks and for the metal clad handset to hit retailers later this summer.

Although the newly spotted User Agent Profile has failed to confirm the full array of HTC One Mini specs, it has previously been suggested that the device will run a 1.4GHz dual-core processor alongside 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

Judging by recently leaked HTC One Mini pictures, the handset will feature a design similar to its 4.7-inch sibling, with a brushed aluminium shell having been shown to sport a pair of forward-facing speakers. It is currently unclear what cameras the Mini will support.

If true, the leaked 4.3-inch 1280 x 720p display will see the HTC One Mini screen line up as a direct rival to the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. Unlike the HTC spinoff, the S4 Mini has already been formally unveiled, with the Jelly Bean powered handset set to hit retailers next month with a 1.7GHz dual-core CPU, 1.5GB of RAM and an 8-megapixel rear-mounted camera in tow.
