Tesla CEO Elon Musk has announced the company will launch a new product line next month.

In a tweet posted on Monday, the entrepreneur said the ‘major’ new offering will not be a car.

The reveal will take place on Thursday, April 30 at the firm’s Hawthorn Design Studio in California.

"Major new Tesla product line -- not a car -- will be unveiled at our Hawthorne Design Studio on Thurs 8pm, April 30," he wrote (via The Verge)

While Musk was coy with the tweet, there’s already a suspicion over what the company will announce at the end of April.

A few months back, Musk said Tesla was working on a battery that could power homes. The firm is also creating an autonomous charging snake that’ll enable users to automatically charge their cars as soon as they’re parked in the drive way.

Although it's always difficult to predict what Musk has up his sleeve, his inference this is a non-car related ‘product line’ suggests the home battery solution may be more likely.
